Prior to joining ERA Key Realty Services as a Manager, Allen was with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Shrewsbury where he was a member of the International Sterling Society, completed CBRB management training in Waltham, and was a regular top 5 producer in the the office.

Allen has, in instances, called appraisals to the dollar.
Allen is a member of Preservation Worcester having sat on the Board of Directors for many years, and Endangered Structures committee. Allen feels that this is a great way to give back to the city he loves:

Very knowledgeable about the local housing market and about all aspects of architectural design and construction, including possibilities for renovation. A sharp judge of market values (predicted to the penny what the house we desired would appraise at). A very good listener; found us exactly what we were looking for, and didn’t waste our time with properties that didn’t fit. During a long and complicated negotiation, he stuck with us patiently, and provided the crucial advice that enabled us to purchase a wonderful high-end home for a very fair price. This was a very difficult sale on many levels. Allen never lost patience with it and stayed on top of the situation throughout. In fact, if it weren’t for him we most likely would have given up, and also would not have moved to Worcester at all. It was his area knowledge that convinced us to move here and we are now very happy with the decision. Allen was recommended to me by a family member when I was complaining about a less than desirable experience with another Realtor. I was a first time buyer and in my excitement made an offer on one of the first houses I looked at. But once red flags began to reveal themselves I felt like my agent was more focused on selling me the house then getting me the best price, I ended up walking away. Allen was completely the opposite, after a few conversations I was convinced he was the agent for me. He was completely honest and open about his opinions of the houses we saw, finding something good in every property. But what was more important to me was that he didn’t hold back at all if he observed something negative and was more than willing to scuff up his nice suits to peek behind walls and in basements where ever possible. He was searching for anything that might cost me money down the road and if he found something he would point it out and explain what it was and offer suggestions on what could be done about it to the best of his knowledge.
